Sustainability, Ecology, & Divinity – Rediscovering Our Human Vocation

  • Bugbee Senior Center 262 North Main Street White River Junction, Vermont, 05001 USA (map)

The eighth talk of CTP’s Tend the Root Series on Personal and Societal Transformation

At the root of our ecological crisis lies a deep ignorance of the true nature of humanity. Without rediscovering this essential nature, our efforts to build a sustainable culture will inevitably fall short. In this talk, we will inquire into the spiritual root of unsustainability, explore the immensely beneficial role a spiritually mature human being can have on the ecology of a landscape, and envision a future where human culture and spirituality supports the flourishing of all life.

Potluck dinner at 6:00, discussion at approximately 8:00. Tea and cookies provided. Donations to support the work of the Center for Transformational Practice encouraged.

Mark Kutolowski is a Christian contemplative teacher, a wilderness guide, and an Oblate of St. Benedict. He and his wife Lisa run Metanoia of Vermont (www.metanoiavt.com), an ecological homestead and center for the renewal of Christian spiritual practice.
