CTP Weeklies

This year, CTP is making free weekly and bi-weekly community offerings.

On Tuesday Mornings from 8:30 - 10:30, Elisabeth Cadle leads a weekly Labyrinth Group for those wishing to deepen their labyrinth practice. These guided sessions involve a labyrinth experience, either in the Shrine Room or out on the land, followed by silent journalling and reflection and contemplative group discussion. These sessions have been dedicated to investigating a variety of ways the labyrinth experience can be engaged. Subsequent Labyrinth Groups will take place on February 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th and March 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th all from 8:30 to 10:30 AM.

On alternate Fridays (check the website schedule) from 7:00 - 8:30, Hannah Jeffery and Claudia Marieb lead the CTP Singing Circle. This is a contemplative and safe space where new and experienced singers alike can sing rounds and harmonies for the sheer joy of it. The next CTP Singing Circle will take place on February 9th and 16th and March 9th, all from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

Tuesday evenings from 5:45 to 7:00, Kyle Barrett leads Yin Yoga, a physically passive, seated, floor-based yoga practice, requiring long held postures (2-8 minutes). Yin provides time for connective tissues (fascia) to exercise and release, soothing the body, the mind, and working towards alleviating joint and body tension.  Kyle provides quiet space for you to be with your mind and body, and to develop a relationship with the sensations you experience, encouraging breath exercises to guide you through practice.  Subsequent Yin Yoga Sessions will take place on February 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th and March 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th, all from 5:45 to 7:00 pm.

On alternate Sundays (check website to confirm) from 8:00 to 10:00 am, Simon Dennis and others lead a Vedic Fire Ceremony and Pancake Breakfast which CTP residents learned have brought back from Haridwar, India. After preliminary invocations and purifications, the Gayatri Yagya involves offerings of an herbal mixture along with mantra and benevolent emotions into a sacred fire. Benefits include environmental and personal purification and upliftment. Pancake breakfast to follow. Subsequent Fire Ceremonies will take place on February 11th and 25th and March 11th and 25th, all at 8:00 am.
